Ham, sorry I should have put this in my previous post but here goes: You say:
"My side" is that of the individual, Andre. Admittedly, this is a difficult position to argue in a forum whose participants are largely of the Marxist/socialist persuasion which demeans the individual in favor of democratic collectivism. Now Ham, I have never heard such gibberish before! Demeaning an individual to make a stand [collectively] against an ideology [infused and actively supported by religeous zealots of the Christian persuasion...See Webers Protestantism and the rise of Capital...(off memory) that has only one aim and that is to exploit the individual right down to his underpants hanging from his skeleton, in the persuit of capital?!1 The individual cannot win. Simple. Divided we fall, united we [may]win. It was an only response to the conditions in those days and unfortunately I see all over the Western world over the past few years that despite the gains made by this 'collective stance' the latchings are flinter thin, and with every round of negotiations between employers and Unions (annually), these have to be protected and preserved and argued for. This is due to SOM thinking. The side of the individual you are on Ham is an individual who's intellectual level stopped at the organic level. Maybe, just maybe, it's an idea to contemplate the origins of the wealth you are living in.
