Andre,
You're in China, right?
Can you tell me a little about Chinese art? I've just purchased
books about art in Japan and India. But if you are there, maybe you
can point me in an interesting direction, both historical and
modern. What is the subject of painting today in China? Is there a
story being unraveled? Does the government control the content of
art, or art in any way? Is there an underground? Etc. Noticing anything?
Also, how much Buddhism is left in China? If not in practice, how
about in the landscape?
...
Back to house plants, goldfish and wonderful Matisse.
