this world is bird
fox, weasel, hawk,
bear, chipmunk,
eastern hemlock,
oak, maple, ferns,
do not listen to me
how can I know
fox has to chim in
weasel does to
hawk will add something
wind will whisper
river will debate
then as the sun falls
the moon comes up
the day comes again
and we all sit and listen
once again this
great delegation speaks
as long as the seasons churn
each giving a say as
to how this world will be
do not listen to me
how can I know
for I'm simply human
and can't speak for fox,
bear, maple, fern, squirrel,
this great delegation
of earth with sky
we listen to each other
in this long enduring
great delegation
