I've grown to appreciate my son not listening to us all the time. I really have. It is a joy. I said something about how these two boots matched to my son (which they didn't match) this morning. He started to say yes, but changed it to no about half-way through the yes. Good I thought. For I don't know everything. The wildness needs to stay intact in my son I thought. For my son to grow in awareness of this wildness is to find where free-thinking and the sovereign mind is. Of course we, as parents, do the best we can, he will trust us, but to recognize the answer is not in me leaves it open to him. The woods council our steps and our ways. To come to full terms of what is meant can't come about without the birds being heard and the gray clouds interjecting upon words carefully chosen.
