[Platt]
Arlo lives in a ivory-tower dream world.
[Arlo]
So Platt too wants to live in a world where flamethrowers and
bazookas are readily available at BoxMart. What about larger
missiles? Should they be available to anyone? What about tanks?
Should we sell Abrams like we do cars? Maybe toss in a few extra
rounds of ammo during President's Day sales? Where do you draw the
line? Or do you not draw a line at all? Should we sell atomic bombs
in mail order catalogs? Would you feel safer in that world? Why
should only governments have access to weapons of mass destruction?
[Platt]
The gross hypocrisy comes from academics who prattle about critical
thinking but trash anyone who applies such thinking to expose
Marxists posing as Democrats.
[Arlo]
Exposing whack-job paranoia is not hypocrisy (thanks for a good
example in how you replied here). For gross hypocrisy, you need to
look no further than your own support of the Patriot Act coupled with
your wingnut kneejerk "evil libs" reactions to what Woods posted
about Britain. You do support the Patriot Act, don't you Platt?
[Platt]
We will see how many promises he keeps and how many times he
blatantly lied to get elected -- like promising a tax break for 95
percent of the people.
[Arlo]
And he should be held accountable, and responsible, for his words and
his promises. One only hopes you would have held McCain and Palin to
the same standards (did they lie during the campaign? Or was it only
Obama?) Wait.. I seem to recall you endlessly bemoaning those who
were critical of Bush as mere "Bush-bashers". So that's the standard,
isn't it. From now on, whenever you whine or moan about Obama, we can
all simply dismiss this as your being a Hater and an Obama-basher.
That's the price of your gross hypocrisy.
