emergence only makes sense in a teleological context...as i have mentioned 
previously.
wallace, lamarck, bergson, de chardin: teleological all of em.
if an organism is able to direct the course of its evolution, at any level (as 
humans we have the unique ability to consciously control the direction of 
evolution), this implies choice - relative value and evaluation: quality...DQ 
lalalalalala. this is a lot simpler than trying to squeeze ourselves back into 
the same outmoded box.
