I agree I was'nt much impressed. And I'm a fan. The new dark night series of movies are derived from frank millers graphic novels "the dark knight-year one" which realistically follows the origins of the batman as if he existed, very interesting plot very good read. Very human. What started the recent Batman craze was Franks first work "the dark knight returns" set in the future after batman had retired . Society had degenerated into Platt and Hams nightmares with street gangs ruling the city and the U.S. on the brink of WWIII. Bruce wayne, bitter and in his 60's returns to set things straight. Violent. Brutal, and an incedibly fun read.
