Ian, You mean using a systematic method of error distinction to judge others is missing the mark?
you know Ian, you are right, I owe an apology to Platt, it was rather unfair of me to label him. I agree. -Ron ________________________________ From: Ian Glendinning <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, January 9, 2009 2:23:23 AM Subject: Re: [MD] Multiculturalism scam In a way Ron / Platt / Bo, I kinda agree with Platt ... Exactly which logical trap(s) is a moot point, once you've made the error of objectifying the things you're applying the logic to (which is one, or more of of the traps in itself) after that any number of traps await in a complex situation like explaining the whole of intellect and causation and evolution of life the universe and everything. (There are many different processes and "levels of aggregation" hidden inside the chosen objects.) ie The SOMist falls into just about all of the traps from the outset. Unless they back-up and unpick all the objects they are dealing with BEFORE making their seemingly rational logical arguments. The defintional trap is just one manifestation. Bo, I have been trying to point out that for all his good intentions he is using his logic in this blunt misguided, doomed SOMist way. Platt ... I have already given up on ... (your point about prejudices will suffice) Sorry.
