MP: Save your presumptive characterizations and implied ad hominem tactics for those who will tolerate your using them, Arlo. Address the substance of my criticisms, or don't expect me to engage in debate with you on them. I don't listen to talk radio, and I don't watch TV news unless there is a hurricane or school closing. I'll watch a movie, and maybe listen to music on the car radio when I forget my iPod. I skip commercials or talking DJs whenever I can. (Although some commercials, are IMO pure artistry) My TV hero is Lenny Bruce, and he had it right from the get go. I read the NYT, the WSJ and USN&WR. I read sources quoted in any of those publications, sorting out the biases the best I can. I read the classics. I read the Federalist Papers. I read the Constitution. And I *THINK.* For myself. And ponder how this nation has gotten itself this deep into this mess from where we started in the Continental Congress and contemplate just sailing around the world, nationless, sticking to the coasts of those that have solid nautical police forces, staying out of the way while Western society tears itself apart from the inside out.
