Platt, The concept of evolution is more useful than say creationism. It is useful because of it's observation that living organisms are a part of an ever changing dynamic environment. It is useful in creating a more comfortable quality of life.
I guess Platt, in the long run, we may understand the workings of all aspects of life and physics yet never know "why" because "why" is a question of meaning and meaning is an individual endeavor. -Ron ________________________________ From: X Acto <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, April 11, 2009 8:39:03 AM Subject: Re: [MD] Catching up to Pirsig My point is , should'nt we be applying what we have learned from Pirsig? rather than getting caught up in these habitual games? ________________________________ From: Platt Holden <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, April 11, 2009 8:06:01 AM Subject: Re: [MD] Catching up to Pirsig > ________________________________ > > Ron: > non-question, biological needs ie striving for evolutionary success and > the question > of why survive at all, are intellectual conceptions about biological > processes.
