[Arlo]

Nonetheless, I find complaints by armchair pundits to be dismissible, for
the
true to solution is involvement. The true problem is that the "public
schools"
exist at the edge of community, rather than within. As has been repeated
here
often, Platt, if you have an issue with the schools, volunteer some time,
get
in there and help. By simply bemoaning the issue here, you are expecting
others
to do you work.

Arlo,

That makes sense, quit bitching about a system and fix it. So, the Pony
Express is a broken system are you working to fix it? What about Edsel, or
anything else that is as clearly outdated as the American Public School
system? Platt is arguing that the school system is no longer functional and
a new system should be tried. He may not have the answer, but things usually
go thusly - new system works, system no longer works, someone points out the
failure, repairs are made, failure re-occurs, system is replaced with new,
new system works.

As with our political system and voting, you apparently can't recognize
system failure and many, like Platt and others, would rather not be a part
of a failed system - misery may love company, but some company doesn't love
misery.
