>I know of no other way to apprehend the thinking process than first hand.

Marsha:
Yes, but you are not only thinking the thoughts, you are watching the
thoughts like watching Rocky and Bullwinkle.

[Krimel]
So you would have me thinking thoughts about watching my thoughts, think?

Oh, what a tangled web we weave
When we practice to Believe...

>[Krimel]
>Except that I am not kidding. The modern narrative arts are guided
>meditations that transform the viewer. They call for a total loss of self,
>absorption in the moment. They invite transcendence of the world of shadow
>and provide a glimpse into the Essence of what might be.

Marsha:
What are you talking about???

[Krimel]
Rocky and Bullwinkle as meditation; as mystic revelation.

Marsha:
It's not a 'total loss of self'. It's
self put in its proper perspective. It certainly doesn't make you
any less feisty. It's more laughter, less grumpiness. At least
mostly it's been that for me. It also inspires compassion.

[Krimel]
The narrative arts open us to new forms of experience. They expand conscious
awareness. They alter our understanding of space and time in fundamental
ways. They invite us to transcend the everyday world and step into what
might be or what might have been or what might become. They inspire
compassion and loathing; love and contempt. They bang on our emotional
states like a honky tonk piano, while we watch and listen in darken silence.

Marsha:
I am not a Buddhist, or a close-to enlightened being, I'm a bug,

[Krimel]
This vacillation between being One and being a bug, sounds like Jet Li meets
Pixar.

Marsha:
...but meditation can be worth the effort.

[Krimel]
Exactly like when the large size popcorn comes with a refill. It takes a lot
of eating to empty to tub. But when you are buttering that refill, it was
worth the effort.
