John: Even though I was trying to make a serious point, it was also supposed to be funny and I laughed my ass off while writing it. Of course, giant global corporations celebrating smallness and the little red schoolhouse is hilarious enough all by itself and needs no help from me. I think it shows pretty clearly how principles can be applied quite inconsistently, arbitrarily and even hypocritically. Naturally, when you do that to principles they aren't principles anymore. They're just convenient rationalizations.
