Hi Lu, i don't think Tracey was saying that all expression is art either - but perhaps all art is expressive. What i understood was that she thought art was a deliberate externalization and is dependent on context. I thought her response to the question about the clock was both humorous and incisive.
Whether you like or dislike Tracey's art she has managed, by luck or skill or both, to get in the public eye and make a life for herself in art.
