Craig & Co. Andre had said:
> > The intellectual level ...should never have been designated as a > > 'level' separate from the inorganic, organic and social because it > > is...the latter three in combination (combining the values of the > > three). This makes SOM a social PoV. You replied: > But each level builds on the previous. There couldn't be life without > inorganic atoms & there couldn't be institutions without physical & > biological PoVs. So there's no reason to think a metaphysics is not > intellectual. First, re. Andre's somewhat cryptic message. The intellectual level builds on the three lower and as such incorporates them, which is exactly what he says, but why this prevents intellect or SOM from being a level in its own right I don't grasp. But I'm pleased that he sees SOM=intellect, that's the crux. Then Craig's response which is straightforward enough, except for the "... no reason to think a metaphysics is not intellectual." Metaphysics in the Aristotelian sense of a subjective theory about objective reality are truly intellectual because the SOM IS INTELLECT!!!. But the MOQ which declares SOM part of its greater context cannot be a subset (intellectual pattern) of a subset (intellect) of itself. Has logic been banned from your thinking? It's every reason there is to think the MOQ the meta-level that contains the Quality Reality.
