I think its much more tedious to whip out long philosophological rants based upon pre-digested thinking whereas it's exciting and interesting to follow somebody thinking freshly for themselves and working out the great ideas on their own. Good logical thinking from a fresh start is the best, it's what Pirsig did best and it's always a refreshing pleasure to encounter it anew.
