Mati to Bodvar: Imagining situation is part of the reflective understanding of what emotions are. I would so very humbly suggest that perhaps the idea of emotion as strictly social is also a fallout of SOM. Understanding emotions is I would agree a social phenomenon, but experiencing them is originally a biological one.
Andre< Hi Mati, you confirm what I suggested (and many others) a few posts ago. No need to be humble about it. What I find so sad about Bodvar's position is That he has so much to offer the MoQ but fails to do so because he is stuck in this SOL of his...and fanatic about his criticism of Pirsig in the process. The SOL is a straight-jacket. Anyone, including me, who have learned to understand Bodvar's stance, and worked themselves out of this position, is criticised and deemed either SOMist or MoQ fundamentalist. This is a great shame. I have said before that the best way to show respect for your teacher is to criticise him/her. Bodvar seems oblivious to this, selects those things not conforming to or confirming his SOL and you are considered a lesser bean. I'll repeat that I firmly believe Bodvar has a lot of things to offer the MoQ. I really respect the man and the concientiousness with which he tries to promote the MoQ experience. If only he would be able to remove himself from this SOL fixation. But, as he has said, he has made it his legacy.
