One man strait jacket is another man's freedom from SOM. Another humble opinion. :-) > I have said before that the best way to show respect for your teacher > is to criticise him/her. > > Bodvar seems oblivious to this, selects those things not conforming to > or confirming his SOL > and you are considered a lesser bean. I have criticized Bodvar before on some finer points, however our correspondence and friendship has been for years, so any criticism I try to share is done with a notion of respect for much of what he has offered. I don't think I have conformed to SOL however I have excepted his premise as having high intellectual quality and merit. I realize that some vehemently oppose his stance, others have been corrupted :-) to his understanding of how improved our understanding of MOQ and how our world is and how SOL has clarified what I precieved weakness in MOQ. My experience in trying to use MOQ in research years ago bore this weakness of understanding intellect. Pirsig, who I deeply and highly respect, was unable to offer any real substantial help on the matter. Bo's SOL is the best resolve on the matter that I can see. In the final analysis I suspect I am a better bean for it. > I'll repeat that I firmly believe Bodvar has a lot of things to offer > the MoQ. I really respect the man > and the concientiousness with which he tries to promote the MoQ > experience. If only he would be able to remove himself from this SOL > fixation. But, as he has said, he has made it his legacy. I suspect to remove Bo from SOL is to remove him from his passion. In that moment the MOQ experience would be meaningless. Respectfully submitted.
