My point (why do I bother?) is that seeing how he supports and endorses the
academic work of Ant and DMB, your attempt to portray them as engaging in
"philosophology" is inane. 

As for others on the list engaged in academic discourse, all one has to do is
open either ZMM or LILA to find Pirsig discussing Kant, Poincare, Einstein,
Boas, James, Socrates, Aristotle, among others, and see him intellectually
situating his views into the historical narrative. One can assume, safely, that
Pirsig is not a champion of ignorance.

If you think John's ideas on integrating/juxtaposing Royce with Pirsig is
unimportant, or you can't follow along 'cause of the big words, just don't read
his posts. Just don't suggest that Pirsig would prefer the list devolve into
nothing but sophomoric "random thoughts" oscillating between "dogs go woof
woof" and "leftists hate freedom".
