What Pirsig said "undermines" the MOQ is suggesting it is just another product of S/O thinking -- which is exactly what those who dump the MOQ in with other metaphysics in the intellectual level do. When the MOQ gets dumped into the intellectual level that way, it becomes "part of the system which it opposes" and its "essence" is lost. "Remember that the central reality of the MOQ is not an object or a subject or anything else. It is understood by direct experience only and not by reasoning of any kind." So it doesn't belong in the intellectual level where S/O reasoning rules.
