[Ian] You said "We strain at a gnat while elephants parade past us."
I like that. I use Elephant quotes all over my writing (in another place), but I've not heard that one. I'll treasure it. [Krimel] Actually, depending on your point of view, it is a liberal translation or blasphemous miss quoting of Our Lord Savior Jesus. He actually says, "You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel." He spends a big chunk of Matthew 23 bitching out the Pharisees. You know stuff like: "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean." "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?" Or this one for Bo: "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him/her twice as much a son of hell as you are." Jesus would fit right in here...
