I don't think of it as a criticism but rather as an expansion of the MoQ.
But the connection is in the whole idea of meaning and uncertainty. If
meaning is reduction in uncertainty, I see it that as SQ. A pattern is
something that is if not certain then more predictable. It is a reduction of
uncertainty. DQ on the other hand is unpatterned, unpredictable. It is
uncertain or perhaps entropic if you will. When you map the MoQ onto
Information theory this way it become very powerful indeed. As noted before
physics becomes a subset of this more overarching theory.
