The first one directs a person to defend their position carefully and responsibly by directly confronting specific objections. The other directs a person to fuck off. Hmmm. Is it just me or is there something asymmetrical about those two directives? Somehow I have a vague hunch that the second one is not very philosophical and I even detect a note of hostility in it.
