Hi Dan, No Worries. While you introduce your posts "Hello everyone" even though they may be meant for me, I introduce my posts to a particular person even though they are meant for everyone, to show how you are oh so wrong. I have come to understand your "everyone" and find it to be a bit self-aggrandizing, if I may say so, since not everyone is interested in what you post. I think this is becoming more and more true the more to post. You are stuck in a literal interpretation of Pirsig.
In Lila's Child he does his best to get you to think for yourself. In that book you take the role of an apprentice or foil for Pirsig, which makes the discourse effective to a degree (as Master/student). You seem to take your knowledge a bit farther than that. Since you belong to the literal camp, AKA the strict constitutionalist, you leave very little room for growing Dynamically. I have no need for you to respond with naive comments, we have moved beyond that at this point. As you righteously claim, you have no interest in reading philosophy or the religions that Pirsig speaks of, so sometimes I wonder what you are doing in this forum. However, I know that your ego needs to be stoked, and that you feel you have some authority. I don't think others see you that way. You are a useful foil, however, so keep posting. You have no need to read my posts, hopefully you did not read this one. If you don't respond, I will assume that to be the case, otherwise your ego will get the better of you and you will have to have the last word.
