It's all analogy ...
Goethe would get it. "The ephemeral is but a reference to the eternal." A
friend of mine insists, insists it's the reverse, and attributes it to
Nietzsche. He's got something there, too. But I think it's the intersection
of the two. I asked a gf of mine if I was an extrovert or introvert.
"Neither," she said. "You’re an intervert. You like the meeting-points."
Bingo. Anyway, this lovely moment-space is eternal, though it leaves not so
many traces.

Ah. So happy to hear this. I try to stay away from too much specialist
conversation, about anything. I just hang out with the originals a lot. It
makes fertile. I went to a Unversity of Chicago offshoot for college - St
John's, in Annapolis. They even used McKeon's Aristotle! (Tangent: I've got
an unpublished photo of Ayn Rand reading McKeon's Aristotle.)
I love RMP and ZMM & LILA, no man or books have opened more doors, or
lifted more blinders.
