I'm quite aware that the Metaphysics of Quality is a metaphysics -
there's a small clue in the name!!!
And yet MoQ=Reality is a position held by at least 3 people that I can
think of!
Of course it's silly - and the mental gymnastics required to rationalise
such a position are quite stunning. But still some adhere to such a
ridiculous position.
Amazing how dumb some people can be!
Oh well!!

Hi Horse,
Of course MoQ does not equal Reality. It is a metaphysics for Christ's sake.
What a silly question!
What would be your answer to your question?

Hi Marsha
That's fine - there were no threats etc., implied or otherwise.
I just wanted a straight answer to a straight question - I'm not trying to
trick you into anything!
The problem with your previous answer, I found, was that while it made sense to
you it wasn't clear, to me, what you were saying.
As a matter of interest, what do you see as the difference between saying that
the MoQ is an Intellectual/Conceptual metaphysical system which states that
Quality = Reality (as per Pirsig) and that the MoQ (presumably still as an
Intellectual/Conceptual metaphysical system) denotes that Quality = Reality.
First of all, 'MoQ', 'Quality' and 'Reality' are symbols, so it depends on context. But, I see the
first view as representing a menu, and the second view representing actual food. In the second
view, I do not assume "(presumably still as an Intellectual/Conceptual metaphysical
system)", but metaphysics as _fundamental principal_, as in the RMP's statement "The
Metaphysics of Quality's central idea [is] that the world is nothing but value ...".

Horse,
I would prefer to prevaricate as I find some explanations do not fit easily
into either/or choice. It depends on context. But you are the moderator and
if the threat is to toss me off the list for not making such a choice, I'll say
no. I prefer, though, my two-view explanation.

Yes Marsha I can read and I read your reply which was why I asked the question.
So can you answer my question or will you continue to prevaricate.
Do you believe MoQ = Reality.
Very simple. Yes or No?

Hi Horse,
I wrote to Andre:
I take the two-view perspective of the MoQ. There is the MoQ as the
intellectual/conceptual metaphysical system, with all its examples and
supporting explanation, which was presented by RMP in 'LILA' and with
interviews, text and letters; and there is the MoQ as Reality = Quality
(Dynamic/static), or as I prefer to think of it: Value(unpatterned/patterned).
In the second view, I am saying that the Metaphysics of Quality denotes Reality
= Quality(Dynamic/static). Metaphysics as first, or fundamental, principle.

Are you saying that

Marsha stands firmly upon a paradox that she doesn't understand. She's remains

distinction between concepts and reality, between static quality and Dynamic

Marsha:
Here is the fundamental principle of the MoQ on which I totally agree.
"The Metaphysics of Quality's central idea [is] that the world is nothing but value
