Sorry Ant, On the I phone, i tend to try to cover too much ground but I guess all I was Saying is that the good was encapsulated by a kind of misunderstanding about what was Being said about it. I guess it's All in what we mean when we use The term "absolute". A rationalist temperament would tend To reify the concept and encapsulate It. The empirical pluralist would tend To recognize it as a description of the Limits of human understanding.
The rationalists point of view of the Absolute is therefore quite different. All in all, mainly, what we struggle Against May be more of a struggle Of temperament than a struggle of Metaphysics or intellectual values, Perhaps it's a struggle involving emotional maturity.
