Yes, an intellect that accepts the MOQ -- that the world is a world of values.

Did I say an intellectually dominated society "shuts the door to DQ?" I don't
remember. In fact, I don't think DQ has much if any influence any more at 
the biological or social levels.

I too associate art with DQ. And so does Pirsig. "But the Metaphysics of Quality
also says that Dynamic Quality—the value-force that chooses an elegant 
mathematical
solution to a laborious one, or a brilliant experiment over a confusing,
inconclusive one—is another matter altogether." (Lila, 29)
