Do you think they are all Yankee born? No you won't have to endure the local high school. But how about a philharmonic that is a little closer to you. Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia. That's my point I am amazed when a national football or baseball team from a lesser known state wins the national championship. Sometimes I get the feeling that people are saying " how dare they beat the Yankees". Or when a lesser known actor does well, eyebrows are raised in wonder. Or why we act surprised when few patronize a local coffee shop then say, hey this is as good as starbucks.
