Krimel,

The reason people with social quality do not have to wake up and decide to
play nice is that our
ancestors made the choice for them.

"Nice" is a social quality.

People of intellectual quality don't do certain things for reasons of their
own, not the reasons of others. That is intellectual quality. Your self is
your choice, and it may not be an easy choice, but doing things by nature
(abdication of choice) is biological quality, doing things by convention
(the choice of others) is social quality, and doing things by your own
reasoned choice is intellectual quality because it involves the intellect in
the construction of the self.

[Micah]
So, of course people wake up and decide whether to do mayhem or not, that
would be intellectual quality. Internal morals, not external morals. And I
realize that we are the exception to the social rule.

[Krimel]
The reason people do not have to wake up and decide to play nice is that our
ancestors made the choice for us. There are certain behaviors that we just
don't do, not because of social controls or even learning. They just are not
in our nature to do.
