This last sentence threw me off. Rules help us
compensate for what we are NOT naturally equipped for?
What are we naturally equipped for, and what are
we NOT naturally equipped for? Are you just talking
about all these numerous strangers are what we are NOT
naturally equipped for? And what is good is naturally
based due to trust and fear, etc... or in other words,
it's all in the family, therefore genes selection,
etc... If so, then that's why the last sentence threw
me off, for it seems to say rules are counter to
natural selection of what's good for the family, so to
speak, is good for our children and our children's
children. If it worked now, then it'll work for the
generations to come?
