Ah great, thanks Ant - I'd given up wondering where part 2 had got to ;-)

(The acronyms explained in the second part are helpful to read the
first part, unless you have the right inside knowledge.)

As well as the Whitehead / Pirsig comparison in Sneddon, we have the
Whitehead / Quantum / Holochory connections in a number of places - I
think it was David pointed out Shimon Malin after we'd been discussing
the first part of the Sneddon paper. The "great convergence"
continues.
