Thanks Gav, Jack for your insights; Actually, it helps me to further the
debate:
When you say honour, justice are variable,
I agree with you
by dividing "society-bound" honour & justice from "universal-bound" honour &
justice.
The socially shaped is plastic, and it differs from countries, from
continents, from times... this is the case of the Iwo Jima soldiers. In France,
we never have this code as well as actual Japanese soldiers.
But the universally tied is static: you can't get rid of a shared code of
honour & justice because it would be chaos. The question is what do we find in
this global honour & justice ?
As Pirsig with his Quality inquiry, it's hard for me to define this honour
feeling: So you are both right with the "cant pre-empt" idea and the "its
living in the heart". It comes at once when situation needs it: as it is
natural to run away from fire, it is natural to run towards injustice,
unfairness when they hit you... Or, when you take a path in dishonourability or
you give injustice, the inner voice is here...
But, each time, it is never easy to stay truth with this code:
Honour, Justice is married with Courage,
because somewhere, it means resistance, opposition, so troubles..
A lot of people close their eyes on it, me first (and I feel bad then....).
So I was wondering if MOQ includes Justice or Honour ?
or more exactly, which is the better life:
the easy one or the honourable one ?
The socially happy in a unfair world or the lonely life in honourability ?
Being born in the honourable side,
if I sacrifice my honour, what's the successor: void ? wisdom ?
Is it good so to be a liar, hypocrite, selfish person ?
I recognise I am not very bright and very stubborn, but when I studied human
rights, the same debate was there also: Is human rights are intangible or are
they expandable in front of cultures ?
Pirsig write about this in Lila...
For Lao-tsu, the 3 is the magic number, with A "strangles B, B "strangles A,
and A & B are in balanced accord.
