I have a question about the Comprehension Toolkit: This is my second year using the lessons and texts from the toolkit. Last year I was the only teacher in the school using it. This year, third grade has caught onto it and the teachers are using the same lessons and texts. I am really excited about this because I know next year they will come to me with knowledge of the strategies and the vocabulary I already use. However, I am worried that I will need to find different texts for each lesson because they will have already read the texts in 3rd grade. Do I have the correct outlook on this? Will the kids care? I have mixed feelings about it and was hoping for any input and advice you have.
