Sally,
Maybe I wasn't clear. I'm not being mandated, I just want/need something to
check my students' progress. I don't have anything since my school doesn't have
a formalized program or text. I don't want to miss anything with my students.
I want something I can give to struggling students to help me pinpoint the area
that is troublesome to them, and that I can use as documentation for progress
or lack thereof. I don't want this to replace my conferencing, rather I want it
to enhance it. I also want something concrete that I can show to the kids,
their parents, the administration, etc. I want something that I can administer
a few times a year. The state test and Iowa test are once a year occurances,
and I want to track their progress more often than that.
