Canned programs are easier for the teacher but not the best avenues for unique individuals.
Yes!! I completely agree. I am lucky because that is how I have been trained to teach. However, I have a few children who have very specific needs and who may need a different avenue than what I have attempted thus far. Hence, the research into various "programs" out there that may offer an avenue "in" for these kids. I do not presribe to any program perse, as I know each one has pros and cons. I just thought I would look for some more objective insights than the reviews I have gotten so far on Barton, as I continue to investigate various ways "in" for children with very specific phonological processing issues. Thank you for your insights, though. We share that philosophy of teaching! _______________________________________________ Mosaic mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org.
