Here is a list of all the resources we have used: the number one books to recommend for theory is Ellin Keene: *Mosaic of Thought and To Understand. For good how to and lesson ideas: Debbie Miller's: *Reading with Meaning and *Teaching with Intention. Tammy McGregor's: *Comprehension Connections have been a big help getting lessons that get the kids thinking and talking. Stephanie Harvey's: Strategies that work goes along with Keene and Miller's teaching. For conferring help in reader's workshop Jennifer Serravallo's: *Conferring with Readers really has helped us improve our conferences. If you were to ask me what all staff MUST read for PD...I put stars by those listed up top.
