Using     word lists for finding a beginning point for passage administration 
simply     involves counting the number of correct responses in both the 
“automatically     identified” and the “identified” columns.For the word lists 
I have always used total number of words correct , however, I find the 
automaticity scores very informative for student's fluency, sight word, and 
word identification needs. I also use these scores to compare to words in 
context scores to see if the student is using syntactic and semantic or context 
clues.
