Driving east of Vermillion in Dakota Co. and in Denmark Twshp in southern
Washington County, yesterday, I found perhaps 10 flocks of Horned
Larks of 15 to 30. I saw only one pair of larks suggesting that they
were on territory.

In Cottage Grove (near Hinton & 76th) I found a small flock or bright
yellow bellied Cedar Waxwings.

The large snow piles provided a small flock of Canada Geese the opportunity
to forage on low hanging crab apples.

Pine Siskins are still coming to my feeders.
