After finding 18 warbler species during a short walk at the arboretum on May 22
but only finding 8 warbler species over a longer walk at the arboretum
yesterday(23rd), I wasn't sure what to expect this morning at Carver Park
Reserve. I spent just over 6 hours covering about 6.5 miles of trails
southwest of Cty. Rd. 11 covering most areas northwest of Carver Park Rd. to
the northwest boundary of the park near Hwy. 7. The highlight was the
continued great number of 21 warbler species still moving through the area
including 2 Connecticut and 3 Bay-breasted. Today had the highest number of
female warbler that I have seen this spring. For a detailed list you can
check the MOU database or Ebird.
