Hi Ludwig!
I am writing this message to announce that I just launched a sourceforge
project, osmoz, that will be an IDE + visual designer for Mozart/Oz. The
purpose of this project is to offer an alternative to Emacs, but also to
explore the conception of new tools in the case of multiparadigm rapid
development.
A pre-alpha version of this IDE is already available! It was made for my
BS's diploma, this year, here in Brussels. The problem is the
portability since it is written in C# for .NET. I'm currently working on
a cross-platform version of this one, made in XUL, XBL, Javascript and
SVG, and that is intend to work inside the Firefox browser and, later,
with Xulrunner.
these files are available at http://osmoz.sourceforge.net/
Cool!
However, I can't resist to ask :-) Have you considered writing an
Eclipse plugin instead?
Installation notes : The ozc compiler has to be in the windows path. The
implementation use the Gtk librairies. Gtk works fine with mozart 1.3.1,
but the librairies were missing when I installed mozart 1.3.2. I had to
copy the GTK folder from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2, and to install the old gtk 1.3
dll in /windows/system32 in order to launch the generated applications.
Huh, could you please submit a bugreport? This is probably my fault ;-)
If you do, please include info on which directories/files from 1.3.1
were missing. Thank you!
Cheers,
Filip
