IMO, Skye is very nice indeed. I'd like to see the current look be 
replaced with something like Skye.

I think it is better to target real CSS browsers and only hide some 
styles from Nav 4.x is it experiences too bad brokenness.

Despite the potential clutter, I think I'd like to see the two latest 
news items and the version numeber of the latest milestone on the main 
page.

The logo that is associated with Skye is, IMO, several orders of 
magnitude better-looking than the current logo. A slight touch of 
anti-aliasing could be added, however.

mozilla.org looks good to me.

Have you intentionally left out a link called "Download"? I suppose 
people who want to grab a build are looking for a linkified instance of 
the keyword "Download". (Of course, if you want have a reading 
comprehension test for filtering out "end users", then I understand the 
absence of "Download". :-)
