It'd be nice if that sort of information was available, even if only
as comments on the documentation bugs (is there a tracking bug?).
I've been following this:
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&email1=&emailtype1=substring&emailassigned_to1=1&email2=&emailtype2=substring&emailreporter2=1&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&changedin=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&component=Documentation&short_desc=&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&long_desc=&long_desc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&bug
file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&keywords=&keywords_type=anywords&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0=&cmdtype=doit&namedcmd=bookmark+keyword&newqueryname=&order=Reuse+same+sort+as+last+time
heh heh ain't bugzilla sweet 'n' cuddly? *grin*

One of the benefits of good documents is that the user actually
becomes more vigorous, rather than more fragile. *restrains self from
poking M$ yet again* I can't expect "horked" to become mundane
vernacular, and I seriously hope that XPCOM and such only arise
as-needed ... not triffling stuff, but anyone who's encountered
Mozilla-the-project had best be able to cope with such as "binaries"
and "branch-build". If folks don't understand the difference between a
nightly and a milestone, then it's tech_docs' responsibility to
clarify that *I'm resisting the urge to use "empower" anywhere here*
rather than contributing to a situation where stupification is the
norm. That's the sort of distinction that tech_docs implements and
makes part of the site / user experience.

I can't speak with authority on this, but I bet Mozillazine would
publish good articles of this sort. Point being, approaching that
group directly contributes to the work and clarifies matters that may
be felt by many who are hanging back, whereas philosophical
discussions are by their nature endless.

^5 to Fabian on this: OpenSource _gestalt_ is that the user/developer
dichotomy gets crumbled ... if ya feel like there's a need for a
certain document, or that a certain doc should be written a different
way in a different style with a difference vernacular, well _thar' ya
go!_
(CVS the monster is like a junk-yard dog ... a daily hastle, but a
must-have when the need is real.)
