Could you explain what you are referring to? The only statement in that
article that I found came close to what you said (or close to backing up
your original point, which was "you can't sell GPL software" AFAICT), is
that some people misunderstand the term "selling software" to mean "make
proprietary". With that interpretation, the term "selling GPL software"
makes little sense ("making GPL software propietary"), and the license
implications of such an action are not as clear cut (if you own the copy-
right to the entire codebase that is covered by the GPL, then you are
certainly allowed to relicense it under a different, potentially
proprietary, license, but that does not affect anyone who is using the
software under the GPL license. IANAL. YMMV).
