GPL is the GNU General Public License, which is one of several licenses
approved by the Open Source Initiative that open source projects can use
when releasing their source code to the public. An open source license
basically states all the conditions on how code is contributed, shared,
credited, etc. Mozilla uses the Mozilla Public License (MPL) which is
another approved license.

I don't know what RMS is.
