Mostly, it's a mail issue - I don't know of anyone posting RTF
to newsgroups.
Netscape Messenger dose not parse RTF. It's one of the more
frequent issues that comes up in the Communicator support group.
Pegasus Mail is another. As you sift through various forums,
you'll hear about others, but I can't name more off the top of
my head.

If the header is on the server, it hasn't been filtered out.
In Messenger, you can use VIEW SOURCE to parse the RTF in
Composer. so the message is there, it's just not parsed because
it's a PROPRIETARY MS FORMAT. And to natively parse PROPRIETARY
MS FORMATS, you have to get a license from MS.
And why do that when there are perfectly adequate, accessible
and compliant standards available?
