I agree with N. Marshall:
Mozilla (even the latest nightlies) newsgroup readers is sadly lacking
in simple features, like a basic newsgroup name search engine, like a
simple "mark groups read", like the ability to organize subscribed
groups in a prefered order, like setting/unsetting watches, like an
honest sorting algorithm, like workable trivial filtering (much less
advanced, color coding, selecting filters) ...
None of which seem to be available (or are claimed to be available, as
in "watch", don't work on my linux/m2001072608 setup.)
I desparately don't want to encourage the monopoly corp so I'm
struggling with mozilla. As a browser Mozilla is currently great, except
for non-standard web pages built by weenies out there, and that's their
fault. But the newsreader sucks. I've asked before in this forum if
anyone knew if the above were reported bugs, since I haven't been able
to figure out the bugtraq search tool. But there's been no response.
So, does anyone know?
Thanks
