Does anyone propose cross as the Mozilla symbol? I don't think so. You 
went off-topic here. And anyway, it would not be a proper symbol, but 
because using it this way it would offend some Christans, not some 
non-Christians.

Anyway, comparing the crusades to the totalitarist mass murders is in a 
very bad taste (especially as a lot of people who remember the actual 
atrocities are still alive). Every country has some aggresive wars in 
their history and we do not loathe their national symbols because of 
that. But swastila and red star are symbols so loathed in the actual 
countries they were the symbols of - because of the immense scale of the 
crimes commited - that they are no longer used there.

You should really see the total disbelief on the faces of people I 
showed the Mozilla about: screen in Poland to understand why it needs 
changing :-(
