I agree with Brian. But to build a bit on his thoughts, I'm not sure 
what an end-user means. Surely the "intermediate user" that is embedding 
mozilla in something or other want their "end-user" to have the best 
possible product. It is the American way. (I'm serious; the profit motive).

As for the cost from the Spell Checker from Netscape my guess is that 
they are footing a pretty big bill for the support they are giving 
Mozilla. I don't understand why the Spell Checker cannot be part of the 
price.
