WFM on Mac OS X with the IE update installed. No further configuration
needed.

WFM on Classic, too. I just moved over the plug-in plus the .class file.
No further configuration needed.

That is not quite accurate. The type code for Mac IE 4 and Mac IE 5 (and
other Mac apps) is "APPL". The creator code for both of them is "MSIE".

No. The type code for apps is "APPL".

Have you tried opening them at the same time?

Correct. This is not due to Mac OS but due to the apps themselves
checking that another app with the same creator code isn't already
running.

Netscape 6.1 and 4.x wouldn't interfere with each other's prefs even if
you managed to run them at the same time.

Major rewrite is supposed to be a replacement. However, in this case a
new creator code wouldn't hurt. I'm not very passionate about it, since
Mozilla has a different creator code.

That's a pity.

Interesting. Usually people seem to find Web sites that make sound
annoying.
